There was a goal fest in the UPC-Arena (Graz, Austria) where three Real Madrid players took all the headlines.  Seven of the eight goals were made by Alvaro Morata, Jese Rodriguez, and Daniel Carvajal, including an own goal made by the latter on the 83rd minute.

The biggest news was the four goals made by Álvaro Morata.  According to @laligaennumeros on Twitter, the last hat trick made by a Spanish U-21 player on foreign soil was Rodrigo (RMC 2009-2010)  on September 1, 2011 in Georgia[1].  A couple of others stats that were dug up by @laligaennumeros were: 1) the last time Morata scored a hat trick on an official game was on July 23, 2011 against Serbia[2], and 2) the last time 4 goals were scored by a Spanish U-21 player were, in chronilogical order: Jontathan Soriano (8/2/2005, vs San Marino), Rodrigo (11/10/2012, vs Denmark), and Morata (9/5/2013, vs Austria)[3].  All this goes to show the incredible potential of Real Madrid's second striker has waiting on the sidelines.

Further news was made by Morata's club members Carvajal and Jes
é as the former opened the scoreline and closed Austria's goal tally when a free kick took a deflection off him.  Carvajal was also able to assist both Morata on his second goal with a beautiful cross into the box, and Jesé twenty-five minutes after his introduction to the pitch.  Jesé came in for former Real Madrid youth product Pablo Sarabia (RMC 2004-20011), and the Canarian did not use his minutes unwisely.  In extra time, Jesé as able to meet a Carvajal cross near the edge of the box and brought the scoreline to six.

The actions of the three madridistas echoed throughout Spain as Julian Lopetegui's men demonstrated the Spanish firepower "down the pipeline."
